face blob

the product of a hangover in berlin..

i realized recently that if you stare at any particular point in this picture and focus/blur your eyes a bit, the rest of the image starts wiggling around, almost like all of the faces are breathing. unintentional illusion. click to enlarge.

beardsley inspired

bought "the collected drawings of aubrey beardsley" a few months ago, i think it has influenced some of my pictures. also, drawing boobs is good practice for drawing circles.

old doodles (and picture postcards)

here's a (brief) selection of some random doodles from various sketchbooks/journals ive had over the past few years. most of them seem to be from travels, as that's usually when i have the most time to draw. for whatever reason (or, for an assortment of reasons), i seem to be less productive in toronto. in the future ill try to post pages that are more up to date, instead of lumping a bunch of outdated stuff together into one long post with no explanation, as it is below (truthfully, i can't remember what was going through my head for many of these, although some images do bring back some good and otherwise forgotten memories).
